Frequently Asked Questions about the KCC Library

What is NoodleTools?

NoodleTools is an online tool designed to help you plan, complete, and collaborate on projects.  One of the most popular features is its citation creation application.  This feature helps you create a bibliography in MLA or APA format.  NoodleTools is a free subscription service through the Library.

Where will I find NoodleTools?

To access NoodleTools:

  1. Go to the library's home page.
  2. Find the NoodleTools link in the middle of the page. Click it on.
  3. Note: Clicking on this link will open a new window.
  4. Since NoodleTools is web-based, you can access it anytime and anywhere if you have a computer and internet access.
  5. On-campus simply requires you to click on the link.
  6. Off-campus simply requires your single-sign on to access through the Kirtland Libary for free.

You need to log in through the library's home page so you will be recognized as a Kirtland student.

How do I set up a NoodleTools account?

Before you can begin to work in NoodleTools you will need to register starting from the link on the Kirtland Library home page.  The Kirtland Library recommends your Personal ID should be your Single-Sign On ID (6-digit student ID) and Password. DO NOT choose any other Personal ID.   Take a look at the NoodleTools LibGuide (see link below) for more information about creating and using your NoodleTools account.
