All library patrons will need to complete a short application form before borrowing materials.
Complete the Application for Students and Employees. Your Kirtland ID number will be connected to your library account and serve as your library card. If you would like a Kirtland ID card, visit the Student Services office.
Current students and employees can borrow up to 10 items at a time.
We encourage community members to visit us in person. Public patrons will need a current state driver's license or ID to complete registration at the Library. You can begin the registration process online using the Application for Public Patrons.
Public patrons can borrow up to 5 items at a time.
You will need a provided PIN when logging into your account for the first time. Once logged in, you can change your PIN as needed.
Your PIN is required to login to Libby/OverDrive.
Contact the Kirtland Library at any time to request or reset your PIN.

Our Library is open 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday to return items. A return dropbox is located near the Library. All calculators and Chromebooks must be returned in person, not placed in the dropbox.
You may return items to the M-TEC office, including calculators and Chromebooks. M-TEC staff will make sure the item is returned to our Grayling location. Click here to see the location, hours, and contact info for M-TEC.
The Kirtland Library does not charge overdue fines. An email will be sent as a reminder three days before your item(s) are due. If items are not returned, a courtesy letter will be mailed to you.
Items that are not returned will be moved to "Missing/Lost" status. When items fall into "Missing/Lost" status, the following actions will be taken in the order below.
Students with Missing/Lost item(s) will have a hold placed on their student account.
Patrons with Missing/Lost items should contact the Library for additional information.
