What is Kanopy?

Kanopy is an online streaming platform available 24/7. Kirtland students have access to over 10,000 titles, including feature films, documentaries, education videos, foreign films, and more. 

Create an Account

Create an account to us Kanopy on a mobile device, or access extra features when using a laptop, Chromebook, or PC. Some benefits from creating an account include:

  • Continue Watching - Kanopy will save your place in videos you've watched so you can pick up where you left off
  • Watchlists - add videos to a watchlist to make it easier to find in the future
To create an account from a web browser:
  • Open Kanopy
  • Click on the menu icon 
  • Enter your information and then click "Sign Up." We suggest using your Kirtland email address.
To create an account from the Kanopy mobile:
  • Download then open the Kanopy app
  • Click on the "Get started" button
  • Select "Find a university" and enter "Kirtland Community College" and click "Select." 
  • Enter your information and then click "Sign Up." We suggest using your Kirtland email address.

Accessing Kanopy

Using a Laptop, Chromebook, or PC

Use your browser to open and view videos on Kanopy. If you're off campus, you will be required to enter your Kirtland Single Sign-On to access the Kanopy collection. 

Using a Mobile Device

Download the Kanopy mobile app to browse and watch Kanopy on your device. Video playback is not supported for mobile browsers (ex. using Safari to watch on your iPhone). 

You will need a Kanopy account created to use the mobile app.
