If the Library doesn't have the book you are looking for, request it through Interlibrary Loan. Interlibrary Loan, or ILL for short, is a service where you can request materials from other libraries in the United States.
Interlibrary Loan privileges are available to all members of the college community, including students, staff, faculty and administrators. While we will do loans for residents within the service area, it is preferred that they go to their local public library for such loans.
It usually takes approximately 2 weeks for books to arrive from another library.
You must have a current Kirtland Patron Registration Card on file by going to: https://library.kirtland.edu/eg/opac/register_student
Usually, there is no charge for Interlibrary Loans. If there is, you will be notified and asked if you want to pay prior to placing the request.
Loan periods are set by the lending libraries and vary from library to library. The due date will be indicated on the ILL sleeve attached to the item.
More details about how to create an Interlibrary Loan request can be found here.
