Many of the history databases available to you through the Kirtland Library include or are entirely comprised of primary source material. To see all of the Library's history databases and read a short description of each, go to the Databases for History and Geography page.
A sample of the databases with a primary source focus :
The KCC Library has a subscription to Michigan History Magazine and has print copies dating back to 1998.
The KCC Library has a subscription to The Michigan Historical Review “the only scholarly publication devoted to the history of Michigan”.
Search from the main page or choose advanced search. The advanced search lets your search for more than one term and search within the history subject area.
Many titles provide transcripts (look at the tabs in the box to the right) which can be helpful when citing. Some also allow searching within a transcript to more easily find relevant information, however you need to scroll through the transcript to look for highlighted terms. It does not automatically jump to them.
