The Kirtland Library has 4 express computers in the main section and 10 computers located in our Quiet Room. All computers print to the printer behind the circulation desk. Each study room has a computer attached to a large screen and a white board. All of the computers have Internet access.
Yes. there is WiFi access throughout the building so you can use your own device to access the Internet.
Internet access is available across the majority of the parking lot at Kirtland - Grayling.
The Library has a limited number of Chromebooks for students to check out during the semester. Ask the Library staff how you can check one out. If you are not on the Kirtland - Grayling campus, arrangements can be made to send a Chromebook to another campus.
The Library has a limited number of TI-XS, TI-83, and TI-84 calculators to check out for the semester. When requesting one, you will need to specify which math course you are taking so the correct calculator can be checked out to you.
We ask that all Library users have a Library Card Application on file to ensure that we have current contact information on file. You will find the application near the top of the Library's home page. And, you will need to bring your current Kirtland Photo ID with you to check out items.
The Campus Store (Grayling) rents MiFi Boxes to students. Stop in, email bookstore@kirtland.edu, or call (989) 275-5000 ext. 273 for more details. MiFi boxes are not available through the Library.
There is no charge for reasonable printing by current Kirtland students. There is a ten cent per page fee for all other patrons. Your pages will be available from a library staff member at the circulation desk. The Library printer is only configured to print from the Library's computers.
No, you cannot print from your laptop. You are welcome to email the pages to your email and then use the Library computers to print. The Library printer is only configured to print from the Library’s computers.
No, the Library staff will not make copies for you as a copy machine is available across the hall from the Library. It costs five cents per page. The self-serve copier accepts coins and bills.
A librarian will be happy to send a FAX for you. There is a fee of 25 cents per page.
