Add Annotations

An annotated bibliography is a list of citations to books, articles, and documents. Each citation is followed by a brief (usually about 150 words) descriptive and evaluative paragraph, the annotation. The purpose of the annotation is to inform the reader of the relevance, accuracy, and quality of the sources cited.

Not all projects and assignments require annotations. Check your assignment and rubric carefully, or ask your instructor for clarification.

If your assignment requires you to provide annotations to your sources,  you can do this within NoodleTools, and the annotations will be added to and viewable on your source list.

You can add an annotation to an existing source in your project, or choose to add the annotation while you create a new source citation.

To add to an existing source citation, click on the title of the source from your list.  You'll see the form that you used initially to create your citation. Scroll to the bottom of the page, and add your annotation to the box.

Don't forget to click Save when you are done!
