When you paraphrase, summarize, quote, or refer to a source in your assignment, you need to give credit to the original source. This called an in-text citation.
NoodleTools can use your source to show you how to do this in your assignment. Just like your paper, the way your in-text citations are written depend on the citation style of your assignment (APA, MLA, or Chicago/Turabian).
Open your project, and then identify the source that you are going to cite.
Click on the three dots to the right of the source, and select "In-text citation" from the options that appear.
A box will appear in which you can customize an example, and then copy and paste the in-text citation into your paper.
If you are not sure what information to include, scroll through the information that NoodleTools has provided in this box. This information can help you understand what is needed for your citation.
